Brand Story

Macao is A Historically Rich City Blending East and West, Ancient and Modern

In 1996, a young brewer who was living in Macao was captivated by the city's unique charm. He aspired to create a beer that belonged to and represented Macao, one that could convey the city's allure through the medium of beer.
With this idea in mind, he established a small brewery in Macao, and Macau Beer was born.

Brand Mission

Since its inception, Macau Beer has remained true to its original brewing dream: to craft an ale-style beer that was uncommon both in Macao and mainland China. Using 100% high-quality malt and aromatic hops, and adhering to the classical European top-fermentation process, Macau Beer offers a rich malt aroma and a refreshing hop flavor, creating a heartwarming drinking experience.
—It's as if you're in Macao, wandering through the streets decorated with Portuguese azulejo tiles, feeling the excitement and brilliance of this world-renowned city, and enjoying the charm of Macao.

Our Story

1996-2003 The early Macau Beer used the images of lighthouse and sailing boat on the bottle labels, giving the feeling of the early days when Macao was a fishing port. The history of Macau Beer is like an epitome of Macao's development.
2003-2006 In 2003, Kirin Brewery (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd., joined. Thanks to the world-recognized brewing technology of Kirin Beer, we greatly improved our production capacity and quality.
Bottled in Macau-green colour, Macau Beer evolved to have a unique taste - fresh and pleasant - which embodies the soul of the city.
2007-2017 In face of the demand for high quality beer, we made a big step and launched today’s premium Macau Beer, brewed with 100% superior malt. The new label is designed to represent Macao being a cosmopolitan and fascinating city with a wonderfully rich culture and history.
Since 2017 Macau Beer is not only popular locally but has also successfully expanded into mainland China and overseas markets. Initiatives include the opening of Macao's first offline concept store and the launch of sales on mainland e-commerce platforms.
